The Men

While Rebekah Hood was with me and my girlfriends, her husband, Ben Hood was with my hunk of a husband (fiance then) and his groomsmen. These pictures make me smile because all of David's groomsmen have been his lifelong friends. It was so special for him to have all of his best friends standing up next to him when he got married.

Here are, again, only some of the amazing work of Kallima Photography.

1,126 Wedding Photos? Yes please!

I have been anxiously anticipating the arrival of David and I's wedding pictures. Everyday I eagerly check the mail and Saturday I did a little victory dance when I saw the brown package with kallima photography stamped on the front. Rebekah Hood and her husband, Ben are an amazing photography duo. They are so easy to work with, they make you feel comfortable, and produce the most amazing photos of your wedding day. I would recommend them, hands down, to anyone getting married.

We got three CDs of pictures from our wedding day. I won't post all 1,126 (your welcome). But. I started to write this post and narrow my favorites of the entire into one post. Not possible. So there will be a few posts. Sorry. Hope you don't think I'm being vain :)

These are just some my favs of me and my ladies. Enjoy :)

To say that I was excited about being a bride would be an understatement

So. My sister and I like to laugh...

Talking to Nicola on the phone. She couldn't be with us :(

A little kitchen decor

So Friday David got to stay home from work (!!!!). I love it when he gets a day off (one of the advantages of working for his father-in-law. He can make his schedule to match mine sometimes. Yay!) So anyway, we used the day to relax and do some things around the house.

Mama Malone made a really cool wine cork tree for me in my single lady apartment in Tallahassee. David and I loved it, so when we moved down to Ft. Lauderdale she obliged when we asked her to make one for our new house.

Its kind of a hard thing to hang up. It required me laying against the wall until David could get enough nails in to hold it in place.

David is handy with a hammer :)

Thanks Mom :)

Sugar loves it too :)

My Day

So happy to be off of work for a few days.

If I had a genie in a bottle one of my wishes would be that face lotion wouldn't be so dang expensive

I mean really. 20 bucks for a little 2.5 oz bottle of lotion?!?! I thinks its highway robbery for them to charge that much. Let the rich girls who don't want wrinkles pay big bucks for botox, but don't punish me for wanting to keep my skin hydrated and smooth.

In an effort to save some mula on one of my recent trips to Target I got the less expensive Neutrogena Daily Face lotion. I don't like it.

In my opinion (OH LOOK, my font magically changed to the Neutrogena font - weird) it smells like sunscreen, doesn't absorb well, and halfway through the day, maybe even earlier, I feel like a grease monkey because my face is so shiny. Okay Neutrogena police. Before you go complaining to Google that my blog needs to be removed from the internet let me make myself clear. I LOVE Neutrogena products. I am not bashing your company here. I am simply saying I don't like this product. Let me share some that I do.

This daily moisturizer I L.O.>.E. Girls (or guys I guess), if you are looking for a fan-freakin-tastic lotion, this is her. It absorbs SO fast and it helps with those dang free radicals.

And I use this one at night

The only thing is that they are a liiiiittle more expensive. Se la vi. Save up for it :)

Bath Day

For as long as I have had her, I have prided myself on the fact that my dog doesn't smell like a dog. Truthfully, I used to wash her with Herbal Essences so she smelled like flowers. And her fur was silky soft :).

But Sugar spent about the last 3 1/2 weeks before my wedding at gramma and granddaddy's house, then we moved, and lack of an adequately sized wrench kept us from giving her a bath (to attach our dog washing hose to the shower head. A cup and water just doesn't work on Sugar. She is too big. She fights back too much. Just No. We need the hose). So we finnally got around to borrowing my Dad's wrench over the weekend and attached our hose to the shower head. Seriously. If you have a big dog, get one. It will change your life.

But in the mean time Sugar has been getting more and more stinky. And she has picked up a neat little habbit - sprawling across Mommy and Daddy's bed when we aren't around. Nice. GROSS! Granddaddy invites Sugar to come and cuddle with him on their bed all the time, so she thinks its free game anywhere. Wrong little white and tan pup. WRONG. The other morning after I left for work, she actually jumped into the bed with David as if to say, "thank goodness she's gone."

She had forgotten what being called into the bathroom means (I know. So wrong/gross that it has been so long since we've bathed her). But she quickly remembered as we closed the door behind her and she starred with doom into the shower and saw that dang hose. It took a small amount of wrestling, but we got her in the shower and closed the door behind her (note: LOVE glass shower doors when bathing a 70 lb dog who doesn't like to be wet).

I am not saying that jumping into our bed is okay now that she doesn't smell anymore. But it wont make me cringe like it did when she smelled like....well I won't say - but its not nice.
